Dont Judge Me.

This is Mufasa.


What had happened was.....Mom took Claire and Scout (her puppies) for a stay at the vet in San Antonio during Rex's wedding. She came in to drop off the pups and saw a little of kittens that had been dropped off. They were all black or gray or mixed except for one blonde baby. She thought "that cat looks like my Collyn". She left. Weekend passed. Went to get the dogs and there they still were. She couldnt help herself. Loaded up the blonde baby to take to her blonde baby.
He joined Eloise and I back in June (the 15th to be exact) and was to hang out on a 2 week trial. What kind of heartless individual sends this thing back to the vet in a different city after two weeks?


Yeah. Not me.

Over the next couple of weeks we tried to adjust to one another and I began to realize that we were more alike than I originally thought.

We love naps.


But hate mornings.


We love cooking.


But we really just love food in general.


Looove to shop.


And we're OBSESSED with our family..namely this little one.



Needless to say, Mufasa is a permanent resident. I knew it was over when he looked up at me one day with a look that simply asked "Are you my mother?"


Yes, child. I am.
He is pretty much a maniac and most of the time I am fairly certain he thinks I am the most uncool mom on the planet.

I cant imagine why.

Overall, I am super paranoid about being a cat lady. I am super paranoid that everyone I know is allergic and Im going to lose all my friends/family. I am really super paranoid that he is going to be one of those bitchy cats everyone hates. Precautionary measures are being taken for the latter. We have spent a lot of time googling every version of "how to make your cat cool"


We give up.


Regardless of the names I have and will continue to be called, Mufasa makes me happy. He is really funny and he needs me. I need something to need me. Everyone does. I am officially the girl that thinks her cat is so cute and wants to tell you a story about how cute he is and you dont care at all and think I need to get a hobby because of how uncute I am telling cat stories all the time.
